Hesperus
A Tree Peony by Saunders in 1948. The parentage is unknown and it is one of Saunders’ most vigorous hybrids. The flowers are of medium size - about 15cm and show a marked range of colour whilst a degree of krinkling adds to their appearance. As time passes the flower loses some of its red and a pale cream-yellow becomes much more apparent - a beautiful effect. Plant Source: Binny
