White Innocence A hybrid by Saunders in 1947 - lactiflora x emodii. It is possible to read in the literature that this hybrid is Arthur Saunders’ greatest achievement. Whether that is the case or not there is no doubt that it is a plant whose flowers are exceptionally beautiful and unusual in the arrangement of the flower centres. I am surprised that the American Peony Society has so far not given it the coveted Gold Medal. It grows to about 1metre. Plant Source: Bäuerlein's Grüne Stube
