Etched Salmon
previous previous
A herbaceous hybrid by Cousins qand Klehm in 1981. Its parentage is not known. It gets its name from the salmon colour of the petals and the stamenoids which are edged in yellow-gold. Blooms are fully double and the plant grows to about 90cm. It is very attractive and a real show-stopper when a large plant is in full bloom. It won the American Peony Society Gold Medal in 2002. It is diffiult to propagate due to its crown structure and so is likely to be expensive. Plant Source: Claire Austin
